Course Title: Practical Handgun Clinic

Course Times: Selected Sundays. From 8:00am to 12:00pm at the Manchester Range.

Course Fee: $130 per person (includes Range fee). Cash or Credit card.

Rentals: Gun rental and ammo are available at member rates, if necessary.

Course Description/Objectives:

The objectives of the Clinic

This Clinic moves beyond the basics to help the student develop a more advances tactical skill set. This will cover the proper way to draw a handgun from a holster, so bring a holster if you have one (strong-side hip is preferred). Holsters will be provided at no charge if you do not have one.

A Review of Firearm Safety

This covers the basics of gun safety and range etiquette. This will also cover the proper way to draw a handgun from a holster PLEASE wear a belt, the stronger the better)

Handgun Administration

We will cover drawing /reholstering, reloading and malfunction clearing as our handgun administration skills. We will also fine tune your grip, stance, sight picture and trigger squeeze. Students should bring 2 magazines for their semi-auto or two speedloaders for their revolver, if you have them.

Proficiency Drills

We all will shoot some standard drills for you to assess your general shooting proficiency. These are drills you can practice on your own, to measure your progress.

Scenarios

Many of the Personal Protection students request more opportunities to run through the scenario usually run with Personal Protection class. We will have at least two scenarios setup with reactive targets for you to shoot.

Course Certificate:

After completing your fourth clinic a certificate will be given out and your fifth clinic is FREE.

Course Instructor: Thomas Brown is a Senior Tactical Instructor with the New Hampshire Tactical Arts Group, Lethal Force Instructor for New Hampshire, Massachusetts State Firearms Instructor, NRA Law Enforcement Instructor, and a Sig Sauer Pistol Instructor. His training includes courses from Lethal Force Institute, Defense Training International, Calibre Press, Combative Concepts, Personal Security Institute and Sig Academy. He is a member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI).
